fuguebachКак и обещал - представляю новое видео. На этот раз пьеса придворного лютниста королевы Елизаветы I Джона Дауленда The Earl of Essex, His Galliard. Снова монтаж моего сына.
Про Дауленда я уже рассказывал и еще расскажу, это один из любимых мной композиторов.
А вот граф из Эссекса Robert Devereux очень интересная личность. Он был фаворитом и любовником королевы и метил очень высоко. А кончил жизнь на плахе.
Для него Джон Дауленд и сочинил этот танец.
Но гальярда графа из Эссекса существует также в виде песни под именем "Can She Excuse My Wrongs?"(Сможет ли она простить мои проступки?). Многие полагают, что стихи написаны таки самим графом Робертом.
Песня настолько популярна до сих пор, что ее даже Стинг исполняет. Сам с собой вчетвером.
